Details
Fellow multi reed man John Hallam and I have performed many times together but this is our first meeting on record. Spurred on by the all star, swinging rhythm section led by David Newton, we present a myriad of instrumental combinations in carefully arranged selections. The choice of material is inspired- four great standards, a couple of lesser known Gerry Mulligan gems, some Monk, Ellington and Basie and the title track from the Johnny Hodges small band. In other words, perfect vehicles for getting down to swinging.
